Dana Gorman advised yearbooks for six years – two at West Montgomery H.S. in Mt. Gilead, NC and four at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, VA before she joined Herff Jones as a yearbook representative. While she was advising, the LBSS yearbook earned VHSL First Place, and the editors were inducted into the NSPA Journalism Honor Roll. With 15 years of middle-school and high-school classroom experience, Dana brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to your classroom.

Kara Petersen began her yearbook career 20 years ago as a high-school editor, and when she moved on to the University of Virginia, she served as the Organizations Editor, Student Life Editor and Literary Editor of Corks & Curls, the award-winning yearbook at UVA. In 1997, she started teaching English and advising the yearbook at Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia. In those five years, the Legend earned a host of state and national awards including Trophy Class from the VHSL, All-Southern from SIPA and Pacemaker Finalist from NSPA. As a Herff Jones representative, Kara motivates and educate yearbook students while providing the support advisers need.

While Pam Tripp is a new addition to the Herff Jones team in Northern Virginia, she is not new to yearbooks or to Herff Jones. After she graduated from Hayfield Secondary School, she moved west and earned a degree from the University of New Mexico. Pam then taught for twelve years in Albuquerque, New Mexico: seven years at Rio Grand High School and five years at Highland High School. During that time, Pam advised yearbook and newspaper publications at both schools. In 1998, Pam and her family moved to El Paso, Texas where she began a career as a successful Herff Jones sales professional. In 2006, Pam moved again, this time, to the Mid-Atlantic region where she worked with Herff Jones as an area sales manager. Currently, with more than 20 years of experience in the yearbook industry, Pam is thrilled to be working directly with yearbook advisers and staffs, assisting them in creating fantastic yearbooks and growing strong journalism programs.

Debbie works in the Gettyburg plant, where she tracks the progress of your covers, endsheets and pages. You should contact Debbie by phone or email when you need to order supplies, to send a missing image, or to check on a portrait CD or QPP directory proof. And if nothing else, she will put a smile on your face. She is our very own HJ cheerleader, who will soothe your fears and encourage you in every situation!

When you call the Technical Support Hotline and you “press one” for the Gettysburg Plant, Jerry Wagner will answer your call. He is Adobe-certified in inDesign and PhotoShop, and he has extensive experience troubleshooting your technical issues over the phone. He can even work with your school’s network administrator when it is time to install your software. He is also one of Herff Jones’ beta testers for all HJ software products, including eDesign, ePage and eShare. Please do not hesitate to call Jerry when you and your students need help.
